Saw this and it made me *squee*

Maybe you've seen it already but it was new to me this weekend.
Wandering round the Trailers in Apple I spotted this little gem...

Tim Burtons new movie 9, due out on.... 9th - 9th - '09 :)
Me likey it already...

then the trailer began to the strains of The Captain by The Knife and I was in love.

Seemingly the main song in the trailer is Welcome Home’ by Coheed and Cambria.

According to Trailer-9.blogspot.com -

Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov are co-producing the movie 9, an upcoming CGI animated science-fiction movie created and directed by Shane Acker. 9 is animated by Attitude Studio (in Luxembourg) and by Starz Animation (in Toronto), with a few sequences done by Duncan Studios in LA and will be released by Focus Features.

The lead voice actors are Elijah Wood, Christopher Plummer, Martin Landau, John C. Reilly, Jennifer Connelly and Crispin Glover

Plot:
“When 9 (Elijah Wood) first comes to life, he finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world. All humans are gone, and it is only by chance that he discovers a small community of others like him taking refuge from fearsome machines that roam the earth intent on their extinction. Despite being the neophyte of the group, 9 convinces the others that hiding will do them no good. They must take the offensive if they are to survive, and they must discover why the machines want to destroy them in the first place. As they’ll soon come to learn, the very future of civilization may depend on them.

Yippeeeesssss!!! :)

Ps any other Knife Fans out there? If you liked that video let me know, they are one of my favourite bands, and I miss talking about them

Sorry Elf, never heard of Knife before. Movie looks interesting although I am much more a fan of Burton's non-animated stuff.

Oh check out The Knife so... they were the original artist for Jose Gonzales "Heartbeat" - the Sony Bravia ad with all the bouncy balls? the original is brilliant!

Post apocalypse is my favourite basis for a story plot!!! The fact that Tim Burton's related to it has me positively itching. I hadn't heard of this one yet -nice one, roll on September :)
